A nobel act

As I was waiting for my transit to fly back to Malaysia, I was wandering around Melbourne alone to spend my 12 hours before I could board the plane. I was walking aimlessly until I came across State Library of Victoria in CBD. People were laying down on the lawn in front of the grand gothic-style building, some were having picnic, some were sitting under the shade, some were whispering, everyone was relaxing.

IMG_7121

Loving the relax environment myself, I found a comfy spot and lay down to enjoy the urban ambient. It was great to lie down in the middle of the busy CBD of Melbourne while observing lives dashing through the main street. In front of me was a family who enjoyed their picnic. They were chatting and sharing the moment together while a 5-year-old boy was playing with his 1-year-old brother.

IMG_7126

Not long after that, I saw Wilson - the filoove years old sweet king kid held a plastic bag and start picking up cigarette butts with his mom. I was touched when seeing this as parents in Malaysia would just scold their children for picking up dirty stuff from the ground.

IMG_7128

Then I got up and picked some butts for Wilson. He looked happy after the collection a bag-full of butts.

I was not nobel, Wilson was. This boy suggested to his mom and started picking up the butts. Although he did not manage to pick up every single butt in the park, I was amazed by his intention. How can an educated adult throws cigarette butts on the ground when a 5 years old boy picks them up?

Way to go for little Wilson.

The end of the road, South Cape.

We headed to Salamanca market in Hobart first thing in the morning for food. It is my first time being in Hobart and visit the famous Salamanca market. Compare to Launceston, Hobart is a much busier town although it is nothing compare to a real 'city'.

9. Didn't take any photo during the walk because stopping in the jungle is not a good idea. This was the only photo I took, and the destination was the furthest mountain in the photo.

10. After 2 hours of depressing walk, we are rewarded with this magnificient scenery. Harzardous cliff with rugged sea waves.

Nature's the beauty, Maria Island.

This island being untouched for a century, remainds unchanged. What was there hundred years ago is still there. It's a protected natioanl park that has the best coastlines, marine lifes, flora and fauna in the world.

It is not an international tourist attraction as the island is supposed to be protected from human. There will be not more than hundred visitors going into the island everyday. As a result, the wild animals are not afraid of people, marine lifes are colourful and dense. It is one of the best scenery I have ever seen.

1. Departure from Triabuna, it is pronounced as try-a-bannana.
IMG_6110

2. It only takes 30 minutes to reach this amazing island.

Boring-ness

It has been boring days for me after the burdens of assignments and submission are all out of my head. Previously, I lost sleep over the pressure of assignments, now I lost sleep too even without any submission. Afternoon nap everyday and make me so active at night. I just wish to get out and party!

Been really boring in my 2.5m X 2.5m little yellow room of Investigator Hall. Everyday's activities are game, movie, pools, and nothing much. The highlights of the holiday were Terrance's birthday and pod luck yesterday. It was really great to get out and chat with familiar faces.

It's 2am now, and the temperature outside my room should be lower than 15'c as I'm feeling the chill. It is suppose to be spring since September but it's still cold in Launnie. The wind is especially strong today, so strong that it can blow 40-kg-person

Some complicated problems are bothering me at the moment, hope to settle everything by tomorrow. Can't wait for my second melbourne trip tho.

Lastly, I'm most probably joining a roadtrip that travel around east coast of Tasmania. Hopefully everything can be worked out so my 4 days can be occupied meaningfully.

That's all for now. Have a good night.
